We are delighted to share that the MEXECO project was presented at the 7th Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration (EMCEI-2025), held from June 23rd to 26th in Reggio Calabria, Italy 🇮🇹.
💡 Our partners Valasia Iakovoglou and George Zaimes shared Mexeco’s vision and objectives, sparking great interest among researchers, academics, and environmental change agents throughout the Mediterranean region.
🌿 The message was clear: community-based ecotourism is a key tool for protecting biodiversity and empowering rural communities in Mexico and Costa Rica.
