✨ A Week to Think About the Future of Ecotourism ✨
This has been a very special gathering: for a week, the MEXECO consortium met in Madrid to reflect, share, and learn alongside colleagues from Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, and Greece.
We analyzed best practices, discussed real challenges, and learned about inspiring experiences from communities that are building responsible tourism models connected to the land. It has been a profoundly enriching week, full of listening, exchange, and collective vision.
And today, on a day marked by Black Friday, we want to remember something important: 🌱 The tourism we dream of is not based on mass consumption or exploitation. 🌱 It is based on respect, connection, and relationships that put people and territories at the center.
No truly sustainable project should celebrate a day that symbolizes what we want to transform.
