The MEXECO project was recently presented at the Community Assembly in Escobilla (Oaxaca, Mexico), a key space for collective decision-making within the territory. Thanks to Tartarukus, one of the consortium’s member organizations, we had the opportunity to share project updates and engage in an open dialogue with community members about tourism, conservation, and local development.

For MEXECO, these assemblies are not symbolic gestures; they are central to how we work. We believe tourism must be built from within communities, grounded in listening, transparency, and shared responsibility.
As we continue strengthening connections between Mexico, Costa Rica, and Spain, we remain firmly rooted in the territories that give meaning to our work.
