On Wednesday, March 25, the Costa Rica University of Technology (TEC) and the Mexeco project organized a collaborative workshop to gather ideas for the design of a sensory trail at the Volcán Viejo Biological Station, located within the Juan Castro Blanco National Water Park in Bajos del Toro, Sarchí. 🌋

The activity was also sponsored by the ProParques Foundation and the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC). Approximately 35 people participated, representing businesses, associations, and civil society in the area.
“A sensory trail can only be conceived within an ecotourism space: educational, inclusive, and supported by nature,” stated Professor Luis Felipe Sancho, a professor at TEC and researcher at the Mexeco project.🌿🛤️
In the coming months, a systematization integrating the five proposals developed that day will be completed.
